Well...this has taken a fair amount of time to get this post up...It is only fair that I give these rods a work-out and all of you the real goods..Unbelievable,Fun,Light in hand,Responsive,Fun, these rods may change the way I have been Spey Fishing,Fun..did I say FUN!
I was fishing the 12'6" #6 rod on the week-end and realized that I should have been fishing this rod much earlier in the Winter Season for Steelhead...I have no qualms about this rods abilities to manage a 15-20 lb. Steelhead as long as the Reel I am using has a serious and smooth drag system. I can't wait to put this rod to the test in April on the Bow River in Alberta,,and of course some of favorite Rivers here on the Island for Late Winter Run Steelhead.
Actually the Line I used the other day was the Beulah 6/7 Spey Tonic with a 14' super fast PolyTip and a weighted Tube fly...landed a big Torut on this jewell!
These more traditional exceptionally light Small Two Handers are becoming very sought after tools for the serious Spey Caster...join the ranks of owners...
